*thesharkmeister* - I think I want to approach the PIE thing in another thread.
You are correct. The eBay/PayPal fees are too high.
Let's see how high they are in a small sampling.

"thinking that will have more exposure, and therefore more sales....silly sellers!"

You may be right. Maybe I do not know what I am doing. .

The more items that are listed, at any one given time, by definition leads to less exposure per item.
So- the fewer the items- the more exposure.

Considering that most buyers will buy ONE SINGLE ITEM- regardless of the number of times an identical listing appears- what is the value over MULTIPLE LISTINGS- versus offering MULTIPLE ITEMS in the SAME auction?

eBay will do everything to encourage sellers spend more money on their listings. Think of the money you can now spend with NO MORE LISTING LIMITS for IDENTICAL LISTINGS !!!!!- met in the same breath with the fact that eBay won't be showing them with equal exposure in the search engine!

So- create as many duplicate auctions as you want- eBay has clearly stated they will LIMIT how they are exposed when a buyer searches!

Why waste your money on duplicate auctions?

As stated earlier, you are absolutely right and I obviously do not know what I am doing. .

PS - Little known fact - unsold items listed at promotional insertion fee on eBay.ca are eligible for full insertion fee credit if relisted and sold on the first relist.

This policy does not apply on eBay.com .

You may be right, Pierre.
Perhaps none of us know what we are doing.
Interesting to note, though, that your sales are amazing and your sales (and mine for that matter) seem to blow these wannabees right out of the eBay water!!!!!
Yet they pretend to know it all, and obviously spend more time posting useless garbage here than they can muster for selling.
OK. I'm done wasting my time roasting marsh-Mallows.
The fire is out and I've lost interest. Time to go make some money.
Everyone put a smile on, and don't forget to ignore that same fly that is on the wall of every topic's forum here. Eventually, it will just go away.
Cheers.

I just love sellerdome- it shows our average sales at $82 ROTFLMAO!

Pierre ranks in the TOP 200 Canadian sellers- and that is wonderful.
(we just squeak in under 2750)
Pierre us also not prone to the habit of listing IDENTICAL auctions.
Each auction's description is pretty much a unique item- meant to be sold, and whatever information for that auction discarded.
The rest of the information is beautifully templated, and carried forward.
Nobody here comments on the LOW AVERAGE cost of Pierre's stamp offerings. Page after page of items in and around a dollar is a very time consuming challenge. Pierre handle's it well. I certainly do not have his patience. I am lazy. We sell the same items, day in day out- and they do sell!

Volume sales have their advantages. We work on a volume model- but not with the number of listings- just the MULTIPLE items sold within those auctions.
So for those with an AXE to grind- what is the difference between Pierre's business model- and ours? Maybe a lot- may be little. However- Pierre doesn't ship CHINA mugs around the world- or deliver PERISHABLE chocolate within Canada. Though- at the end of the day- most of what we ship fits in an envelope- or SMALL PACKET.
Yet- we're both here aren't we?

Alright, guys. I know we are off topic now but I can't resist this one. While having some fun looking up ROTFLMAO (a word used by some people in here that seem to have a "hey is my Caps Lock sticking??" as well as a severe problem with run-on sentences)-
in the urban dictionary.
Definition #3. (word for word)

ROTFLMAO
A chatroom abbreviation used mainly by imbeciles, usually in response to something mildly, often very mildly, amusing. People who use this type of shorthand should be avoided like the Spanish flu.
"I would've married her, but I found out that she goes into chatrooms and uses shorthand like LOL and ROTFLMAO. Therefore, I broke off our engagement and changed the locks to my apartment."

That's it!!!!!!!! ahhhaaahaaaahhhaa!!!!.....I can't stand it any more!!!!
I have been Rolling On The Floor Laughing My A$$ Off for the last 20 minutes straight. My wife actually has tears streaming down her face from laughing so hard!!!!!!!!!!
Whewwwwwwwwww!!!!
Alright....OK........Hmmmmmmm....AHHHHHHHHHAAAAHHAAAAA!!!

eBay is so much fun! B-)

ROTFL... what's wrong with you people... why are you listing for high fees when eBay has a listing sale every month.... in fact, I won't be listing anything anymore except on those 5 cent listing days 😜

If the US economy keeps tanking, they'll be having 1 cent listing days every week.....
