So, last night while I was in the middle of coming down with the flu, in my fever-induced delirium, I accidentally checked the box that hides all my active listings while I was putting the store in Vacation Mode. I was on my iPad, I couldn't see straight and there were a billion error messages with the text I was trying to enter too.
I'm back sitting upright, and want to work on some stuff with the store in just a 'regular' vacation mode. I discovered my mistake, and I unchecked the box an hour ago but it still shows nothing for listings. A big, fat zero. Am I truly scr#&ed for days to come? I want to re-activate some sales but I can't do that, either.
Groan.

Chicken soup.
And hot lemon juice with honey. No whiskey in it, that doesn't actually help.
Probably you just need to wait a few more hours for the items to re-index.

Thank you. Good advice. I've other junk that needs to be done so this is as good a time as any. I might as well take advantage of the inadvertent lull.
I usually try very much to avoid doing anything ebay-important on my phone or tablet because the drop-down menus don't function properly and checking minuscule boxes with a fingertip is like trying to perform brain surgery with a mallet. I really wasn't thinking clearly last night but I also couldn't make it to my desk and was fearful I'd have orders placed while I was in that condition. Obvious reasons aside, I don't feel good about packing orders when I'm sick because it makes me feel as if I'm mailing free germs with every purchase.

As others said, it does take a while to see them again.
Femme - I agree...no whiskey....it has to be rum!

I'd like to drink my way through an Irish Rovers song right about now. I should probably just go back to sleep.

Oh, hooray! They're back. That was only a few hours lost.
Thank you to everyone who offered their answers and/or advice. It is, as always, appreciated.

I'd like to drink my way through an Irish Rovers song right about now.
I'd advise against that, you just may see Unicorns grazing in your yard wearing Black Velvet Bands.
Best to stick with Van Morrison for today.

Just escaped from Elmwood's basement where he was force feeding perogies & making me sing the Ukranian National Anthem three times a day.
He said that motivated him to look for car parts in the cold.

force fed perogies? Why would anyone be forced to eat perogies...they are soooo good.

If you are ever in Castlegar BC, try the perogies at Weezie's Borscht Hut.
Also the borscht.
And the verenkey (sp?).
And the chicken soup.
And bring a lot of tupperware. Weezie doesn't think she's fed you unless you have at least a kilo of food on your plate.

You guys are killing me. Now, I can think of nothing but borscht and perogies to accompany my whiskey and rum.

That's it! Perogies for supper tonight! With sauerkraut and lots of onions!
Yummy!
02-22-2015 11:28 AM
Awesome! What time are you serving it? I promise I won't be late. Ha ha hah.
02-22-2015 03:23 PM
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
I think verniki is just another name for perogies...Russian perhaps?
02-22-2015 03:25 PM
Maybe Polish? It rhymes with my surname.

Oh brother! Never mind. The Polish word for perogy is 'perogy' except spelled differently. Duh.
I am going back to sleep.

DD lives in Castlegar which was founded by Doukhobors. So Russo-Ukrainian.
Most people know nothing about this pacifist, vegetarian cult. Unless your my age and add 'naked' to the list.

A friend of mine is a Doukobor and originally from that area. Before I met him though, I had never heard that term.
