Adding time to your listing

I don't know if a lot of sellers do this, but if an item of mine does not seem to have much interest, I have been in the practice of extending the 7 day listing to 10 days - with profit to ebay of cours. Now today I see that this is not possible???? These are items that have longer than 12 hours before expiring. I sure do not remember receiving notice about this. Anyone else???

It is now against the rules to extend auctions. Someone made up a program that would do it automatically and a bunch of sellers jumped on board. Ebay decided it was unfair as people were using it to make sure their items stayed on the 1st couple of pages when a search was done sorted by "ending first".

I didn't receive a notice. I tried to extend the time on a few items yesterday and found out that way that it couldn't be changed.

Here's a link to hear the eBay Town Hall on June 16th where they go into details on this and other important things. It's worth a listen.
