BayEstimate is Gone....

I'm not sure if this topic has been discussed on the Canadian list, but it has been on the American PS list.

On April 15th, on Scot Wingo's blog there is an interesting post regarding the BayEstimate that was being used to help with Best Match. If you are interested in reading it, the post can be found here:

http://ebaystrategies.blogs.com/ebay_strategies/2008/04/ebay-puts-a-bul.html

If you would like to have the BayEstimate tool back...you can submit your name and comments as there are many who would like to see it back! It can be found here:

Makes for an interesting read!

BayEstimate is Gone....

eBaY will only bring back the BAYESTIMATE when and if they have revised it so that it does not offer the advantages that made it a good tool afterall it is counterproductive to their BEST MATCH initiative.

Best Match is designed purely to generate more sales for eBaY by funnelling buyers to sellers whom they deem worthy of the business.

Smaller sellers will not be able to grow as quickly since all it will take is a few bad buyers leaving less than a 4 score which will cause them to have poorer DSR rating thereby placing them lower on the totem pole.
