Bought for a good price & not shipped yet.

I bought an item on an auction at a very, very, very good price. It has now been six days since the sale, albeit Easter week-end was part of it. I have looked at this sellers feedback and he has Negs that  state that he has not shipped items that he did not get a good auction price for.

I really want the item - what should my next steps be?

why don't you contact the seller as where I live there was o post office open Friday Saturday or Monday  hope all goes well for you  🙂

How do you know he hasn't shipped it yet.

Some sellers don't check off the shipped box.

Come on guys, I asked for advice - not questions. This guy is not going to ship.

 If the seller decides not to ship your item, he can claim the "Item was lost/damaged" or something to that affect and cancel the auction. I am not sure but I think you need to agree to this.

 If the seller is not going to ship, all you can do is open a case with eBay and warn others. Other then that you will need to let this one go, always check feedback!

If you don't receive the item by day 40 then file an item not received claim.

It depends.

Your original posts did not state that you have paid.

If you have paid, file a claim with PayPal for non-receipt seven days after payment.  Feedback can wait until the money is back in your account.

If your have not paid, wait a while, contact the seller again and post negative feedback for not completing the transaction.

Thanks for the info and Pierre I have paid.

I think I will just wait another day and then email the seller and ask nicely ask if he intends to mail the item.

If he responds in the negative or refuses to answer the email, I will then inform him that I will be taking it to dispute and will be leaving feedback appropriate to the situation.

I would personally avoid any mention of feedback at any time.

The time to think of feedback it is when the matter is settled and the money back in the account.

Seeing you got it for a very good price then I would spend a

couple of bucks and phone him/her if I didn't get an email response..

251248796076 fits the bill - from all that the OP originally stated.  If so, it had only been just over 5 days since auction ended and your original post - not 6 days as stated.

Seller states in listing that item is shipped within 2 business days of receiving payment - so if payment was made promptly, day 1 was March 28th, and day 2 would be April 2nd - TODAY!

Canada Post does not recognize Good Friday or Easter Monday as business days, so neither should anyone expecting shipments.

Next of all, what's the big deal?  You won an auction, you pay for the item, and you follow standard procedures (that have been stated over and over on these boards) if you don't get your item - seems pretty cut-and-dry to me...

Second - I asked for advice on a possibility - not a lecture on the obvious.

Well, considering that my assumption is wrong, then you might have two problems because the seller of the item I mentioned has a feedback history showing cancelled sales - something that seems to concern you immensely...

What should you do?

Absolutely nothing.

It's only been a few days and it was Easter weekend.

For all you know the radio could have been shipped already.

Do what you'd want your buyers to do:  Wait.

The seller has done nothing wrong.

In fact, it's a TRS so cut the guy some slack.

Odds are you'll get it shortly.  PATIENCE.

If not............  in a few weeks email the seller and then if you're the kind to leave NFB that's your trump card if you choose to play it.

That's the only power you have so use it well without threats if that's the way you do things.

So did you ever get your item.

Not yet - but after a lot of prodding and a few thinly veiled comments on my part, including a deadline for me opening up a dispute, he emailed me with a tracking number four days ago claiming it had been mailed over two weeks ago and asked me if I had received it yet. Interestingly enough, the package was accepted at the Post Office the same day he emailed me with this new information.

I bought this item using a different ID and he still has not added the tracking number to it on eBay, or PayPal, nor has he hit the shipped button.

I remain convinced, he initially had no intention of sending it. Now, I am waiting to see if whatever he sent using the tracking number is indeed the radio I bought or not and of course what king of shape it is in.
