The tracking number from Canada Post was added to the transaction but that tracking number is nowhere on the shipping label but when I go on Canada Posts website, the tracking number is shown as "Order information received" & shows the "Accepted" in one of the location in my city & "Delivered" to the buyers state, though they're greyed out meaning nothing has happened yet. So my question is what's the use of a tracking number since my shipping label has no bar code or anything to start the tracking? Would I get a receipt at least to show the buyer? This was shipping by the service, USA surface small packets.
All this so called tracking number does is mislead customers and causes me to respond to a minimum of 3 e-mails per week to US customers.Where is my item? Why does the tracking number not tell me anything? Are you sure you shipped it? The response from Canada Post, Paypal, and Ebay is that it's not a tracking number. It's a transaction number that proves you actually paid for the shipping. I respond: I know, but why do you insist on calling it a tracking number, why dont you call it a transaction number.I have yet to receive a response that makes any sense and dont expect one in the near future.
Same problem here - one way around for now may be to go direct to Canada Post (do not use Print label option) to get a shipping label, then mark as shipped just like in the good old days.
I was on the phone for hours today with both CanPost and eBay. They tell me my complaints are being sent to the appropriate department. I am not holding my breath!
