Received this message from a senior manager at eBay:
"The loss of synchronization in north american discount rules has created a number of problems. We escalated some fixes for the seller dash board to help that will come out later this month.
We will dive in and figure out what is causing this issue."

Sorry Pierre...have to get used to that quote feature as my response is in YOUR quote!
It would be nice if they gave us the option to delete our posts and start over again (and if the option is there, somebody please tell me how to use it!)
Well, there is one, but you ought not to use it too many times
You can self-report your post.

Why can't these people speak normally?
Translation - "We are working on it."

The actual translation is;
"We screwed up, pretty badly at that, and have finally realized there is a problem (we do not know until you guys tell us!). We are now working at fixing it".

"any ideas how?"
I often tell eBay how to fix the problems they create. Unfortunately they are not listening. They hear but do not pay attention.
It is the same situation with viewers being able to purchase fixed price listings from eBay store that have been put "on vacation" status.
The solution is rather simple. Forget what you have been trying to do unsuccesfully for nine years (yes nine years) which is to attempt to prevent viewers from accessing a listing. It has not work, does not work and will never fully work. Too many variables.
KISS - If a store is "on vacation" status, give the store owner the option to de-activate the Buy-it-Now function. That simple!
Viewers could see but could not buy (at that time).

That's the problem, Pierre.
It's too simple for people that say things like, "The loss of synchronization in north american discount rules has created a number of problems. We escalated some fixes for the seller dash board to help that will come out later this month.".
