EBay bucks - Where is the additional $5??

I thought it was better to start a new thread on this issue... where is the additional $5 of eBay bucks that was promised with the end of the program??! I didn't receive it!! X-(

I know i have a bad habit of not reading the Announcements but i don't recall this being mentioned previously.

An extra five dollars would be nice.

Does anyone have the link that states the end of program five dollar bonus ?

I save all emails from eBay.

In the email sent on February 21st by eBay.ca, advising the program was being terminated, I see no mention of any $5,00 bonus.

I suspect that bonus may have been offered to a specific group of users meeting purchase volume criteria.

Members eligible for the extra $5 would be advised on the original & reminder emails. Can you please double check to make sure the emails had this stated?

2 sets of emails were sent out to ebay Canada members.

1 set stating members would receive the $5 bonus for the program ending - only the top spenders received this message.

Everyone else received an email stating that the program was ending with no mention of the $5 bonus.

Unless the email you received stated you were getting the $5, you will not receive it.

I received the message stating I would get the $5 and when my certificate came, the $5 was not added which is why I asked about it on the weekly board meeting:-(

The posts mentioning a bonus for Top Spenders makes sense.

While it would be nice, I cannot see eBay handing out a five dollar bonus to everyone that was registered in the program.

Either way, it doesn't really register on my radar.

Can you give us the criteria for the $5 bonus? I read on another topic it was only for members who had a $15 or over certificate the last time. If that is the case, my last certificate was $38.25. So I should be included in the "top members" list. But I wasn't. 😞

Thank you for replying Kalvin, but no it does not clear anything up. My ebay bucks certificate did not include the bonus $5.

I was waiting for the certificate to make a purchase and knew the amount that it should have been.

I have the same items in my shopping cart on another site, which is cheaper than here on ebay.

With the ebay bucks certificate the cost on ebay would have only been a bit higher than the other site and I would have purchased my item here to support my fellow sellers.

I have been dealing with the ebay bucks team, which is starting to feel like banging my head against a wall and when I have time tonight I will be making my purchase on the other site.

The following was posted on this board at some point, (I have no idea where it originated from just that it was in one thread on here) I was looking for info on the program being discontinued and found it. I also did not receive the extra 5.00

Hi everyone yesterday I called Customer Support about this issue and the rep. told me that the 5.00 certificate was to be issued between April 1 and 15. ( reference # 1-6976015651). I asked if some announcement would come on the boards as many were wondering about this. He stated that he would request this be done, as of yet none seen. Hope this helps everyone.

Just a reminder that a clear indication of whether or not you'll be receiving the extra $5 is in the original email sent about ending the program as well as the reminder email. Thanks pierrelebel & chattylover123 for providing a copy of each 🙂

These should show up in My eBay Messages.

Also, please note that there will only be one certificate issued, so if your email copy states that you'll be receiving an additional $5, it'll be included in that certificate.

No further announcements will be made regarding this topic.

I'm sure the seller, located in China, with find another buyer with that five dollar Buy It Now price.

I received the message from eBay about the additional $5.00 but I didn't received it. 

Nothing new with eBay!!  They are worse and worse by every minute!!  What else??!!
