Hey Glenda......

It's nice enough here in Northern Ontario to play golf today too!!!!! That is if you can find the course under the four feet of snow....

We are on the weather network this week.....

If anyone wants to see who Jeff from Osprey Links is, check out the weather network as they have a little blurb about golf and how the weather affects it that was shot at our course and they interviewed little old me....

Cool eh!

Well Jeff, darned if I can find any blurb about golf -- can you post the url?

By the way, I see your long range forecast is better than ours right now! We're experiencing a rather damp spell of golf weather. Oh well, some of us are crazy enough to carry on even if it is drizzly (well ... maybe a tad more than drizzly!)

We are not on their web site, but rather they came out and did a video clip about how weather affects golf, turf, etc.

Well the sun is finally shinning in Ontario (I think we have seen it four or five days in a row).

Just so you know I am not lying....

Just so you know I am not lying....

Reminds me of a little kid I once knew -- "I heard it on the radio, I saw it on tv, and the teacher said!!! It MUST be true."

Thanks Jeff! That's super, and it fits our attitude here in Victoria perfectly. I printed it off and I'm taking it to our course on the weekend (if they can stay open through all the rain). We've had enough rain in the last couple of weeks that I almost lost a shoe in the mud several times, but whaddya mean you're closing the course!!!??????

Oh well, where one closes several others stay open so all is not lost!

Glenda

PS - we try not to allow snow for more than a week per year (except once every 80 or so years when we book a blizzard that lasts for a month and closes the city for the duration). Frost is a whole 'nother story and frost delays are not uncommon - hence the need for winter gloves.
