How do you add a counter to an existing auction

go into edit mode of the listing & below the description box there is  "Visitor counter" with option of 2 styles of number counters.

If you already have bids this may not work.

Keep in mind that most bids will arrive in the last few hours of the listing. This is also true, oddly, of Good Til Cancelled /Fixed Price items, which tend to sell towards the end of the monthly listing. Even though they will automatically renew. And the renewal also gives a small boost in sales.

This is because customers can Search on both Nearly Completed, and Newly Listed.
