The shortest period before you can start an Unpaid Item Dispute is four days (96 hours).
It is useful to send a polite reminder on Day Three.
Sometimes you get a response like "I am waiting for your other auction to close, so these can be shipped together". Sometimes you get an "oopsie" and a quick payment. Sometimes you never hear a thing and open the UID.
