I just had two drinks and I'm having a coffee now. The days of new years morning hangovers that make you feel like the inside of chinese wrestler's jock strap are .......over! I'll watch everyone else suffer instead.

This was an odd New Years Eve.  My neighbours usually make a lot of noise at midnight and set off fireworks.  Last night was really quiet.  Maybe the fiscal cliff dampened everyones' spirits.

As I have gotten older, the only thing that matters on New Years Eve is that I made it through another year.  I leave the partying for the youngsters.

The days of new years morning hangovers that make you feel like the inside of chinese wrestler's jock strap are .......over!

Over the years, I have done more than my fair share of drinking.  I never really get a hangover.  I can mix beer, wine and liquor and not have a problem.  The only thing that gets to me is if, on a stomach full of booze, I eat something greasy.  I have found that to be a bad mistake.

Will 2013 be a better year?  I hope we learned something from all our mistakes in 2012 and don't make bigger ones in 2013.

"Two hours into my first day of work as a Wal-Mart greeter, an ugly woman came in with her two kids. Hearing her swear at them, I said, 'Good morning, welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice kids, are they twins?' The mom answered, 'Hell no, they ain't tw...ins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7. Why would you think they're twins? Are you blind or stupid?' I replied, 'I'm not blind or stupid. I just couldn't believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day, and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.' My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work!"
