Items shipping from China, over 2 mth wait, not recieved them

I just recently decided to try buying items from Asia. Out of the 3 different buyers, only 1 of the items showed up.  Waited almost 3mths for a necklace, they gave a refund, now waiting close to 2 mths for a cosplay key set and I paid for shipping too. When I looked on the sellers item page I see on 'ask the seller a question' that 3 other people are waiting for the same item. When I message the seller asking for a tracking # or to kindly resend the item, all i get in return is an automated message saying "sorry would you want a refund"!  So, first time this year ordering outside of North America and  nothing but issues.  Does anyone else find that ordering from Asia has been a headache? I don't think I will bother doing it again even though they have some cheap stuff!

This happens all the time when ordering from China.  It is a hit & miss affair.  Sometimes you get it & sometimes you don't.  It can take from 2-3 months to get.  Usually there is no problem being refunded by the sellers. My husband buys a lot of electronic parts from China as you can't beat the price if you don't mind waiting.

I commend you on that decision should you decide to stick to shopping closer to home.

Like you, I tried my share of purchases from overseas as well as China. Ordering from UK and Europe all went very well. Ordering from China for me was highly unsatisfying as I received very questionable merchandise multiple times.

In the end, I decided for my own peace of mind to cross it from my list. While both ebay and Paypal protect the buyer against unsatisfactory merchandise and/or transactions, there is a process to follow to do so and, in the end, I found it too stressful for my liking. Although I did appreciate the buyer protection was in place.

I buy 90 per cent Canadian now with the other ten per cent coming from the USA. Close enough to send back should a problem arise.

Go to your Paypal account. Look on the top line under Tools and find the Resolution Centre.

Open an Item Not Received dispue.

and I paid for shipping too.

You always pay for shipping.

'Free" shipping just means the cost of shipping has been rolled into the asking price.

Yeah.

That means there probably never was a real item. Just a photo snitched from another listing.

Say yes to the refund.

If it arrives, leave appropriate feedback. "Waited 60 days for delivery. No tracking. Got refund." for example.

If the refund doesn't arrive promptly -- say 24 hours-- go to the Dispute.

While eBay allows only 30 days from expected delivery for a Dispute, Paypal allows 180 days from payment.

Scammers rely on naive customers waiting past the eBay deadline and then giving up.

Those other three customers you mention may never see a penny of their money back.

Also-- remember that Asians have a hard time believing how BIG North Americans get. If you order any Asian-made clothing, go up at least two and probably three sizes. As a cosplayer you probably have friends who can help with tailoring oversize, but nothing helps if the garment is too small.
