How can Ebay.ca justify the absurdity with the shipping supplies?
Prices are jacked up 3 time compared to the US so why is out coupon not 3 times the size?
Overpriced in US dollars and gouging in Canadian dollars.
Store fees got jacked up 25% with the excuse of more listings and a valuable coupon for supplies. What an absolute joke.
Another kick in the teeth by the Ebay.ca crew and Ebay in general.
Explanation and justification for this rip off!!
And I want one, not I will check into it or take it up with the appropriate team. That will not cut it with this type of garbage continuing on .ca.
It is just one ridiculous thing after another with Ebay

I have a store on .com and I received a coupon for $50 US quite some ago and tried to use it right away.
When I try to use on the US site I’m told that the seller does not ship to me and I’m blocked out.
I’m also blocked from using it on the Canadian site.
I’d like to use my coupon and purchase US$50 worth of supplies but I’m blocked from both sites and time is running out now. It expires in about 2 weeks.
Can you help us with that?

I can finally use the migration tool, but I just noticed yesterday that it didn't transfer all the quantity of the items as they were
I sold 2 of the same pins to a buyer but only had 1 left. It seems that I only had 1 left on the US site but it transferred 2 of them when it migrated
Also I sell a lot of music books and it didn't keep the international shipping options. It's only showing shipping to the US on most of them

Hi dutchman,
I'm sorry but in all honesty, and I'm really not trying to avoid responding, it is impossible for me to respond anything to your question that would be satisfactory.
We are working hard to set up an alternate shipping supplies program that is both fully Canadian and better tailored to Canadian sellers.

Hi sylviebee,
I think there were US coupons sent to Canadian sellers in error at the beginning of the program. These coupons are unusable for you, you need to use the Canadian coupon on the Canadian store. Sorry for the confusion.

Unfortunately due to the say the eBay systems work, when migrating multi-quantity listings, the original quantity at the time the listing was first created carries over. This is also true if you used the usual Relist of Sell Similar functions on the site. I understand the headache this causes but there is no way around it unfortunately. Sellers have to be aware of their inventory levels and list their items accordingly.

If your original listings had Calculated shipping, the resulting drafts on eBay.com will have to be flat rate and the service cannot be selected in advance, as we had originally planned. This is another issue with the way our internal systems work, it is impossible to have the system save a draft with no price input on a flat rate shipping service. The only alternative that was available to us was to put in an arbitrary shipping cost there so the system could also select and save a shipping service, and as you may imagine, that was a far worst option as many sellers would have ended up listing items with set shipping costs that they didn't choose.

Hi Raphael!
As of yesterday I now have 1924 listings (instead of the 1387 I was down to) But originally I had 1941... and my account has 2415 listings in total. Do you know why there is a discrepancy in the numbers in our migration tool?
As mentioned last week, I have tried on multiple computers, waited a long time for it to load, have used the refresh button in the program as well as in the browser. Have tried on Google Chrome and Internet Explorer all with no success to load the full amount.
Thanks,
Shelly

Hello Raphael,
Is there any HELP LINE on phone to deal with MIGRATION TOOL?
I am very confused with number of 10659 items on my table. I do not have any UNSOLD items.
All my items are presently LISTED (ACTIVE)... BOOKS, DRAWINGS and SET OF CARDS are all already in Canadian Dollars (individually transferred during one month or longer).
I have only post cards and letter covers left and would like to transfer them in bulk with simple factors of currency difference on prices and shipping costs.
Can you suggest a simple ("For Dummies") method to achieve this?
I am not with 5000 items yet and for this reason probably will not be called by eBay as was promised during Mat Ste-Marie's presentation of the migration procedures.
Please direct me to proper place to get the assistance.
Thank you

Hi nosejewels,
The tool loads items in batches, in the background. Depending on how long it takes for eBay to "feed" the tool with your items, which as per our measurements tend to vary quite a bit, you may see different results every time in terms of how long it takes for all non-compliant items to show up.
Which brings me to the other thing to mention with regards to your question. The tool pulls listings according to the following specifications:
Any listing that doesn't meet this criteria will not be pulled at all. Does that make your numbers add up any better?

Then roll our store prices back until you get it fixed or increase our allotment by 3 fold instead of a lousy $10.00 which is an insult..
We are getting shafted again by Ebay.ca

It has nothing to do with knowing my inventory. If I relisted any item before it always knew what I sold and relisted the correct quantity. I am sure I'm not alone in assuming that it would migrate the same way. If we were told before starting the migrating that we should check the quantity of multiple items we could have changed it while we were doing it. With over 5000 items I will now have to go back and check them one at a time to make sure it's correct.
As far as the shipping for books, again knowing this in advance would have made a big difference. When they were listed they were weighed and had the right amount of shipping. Now I will have to go through them one at a time and add international shipping accordingly

Hi Raphael, this started a couple of weeks ago. When you click on "View Order Details" the shipping cost and payment date info is shown correctly on the "Order Details" page. However when you click on the "Printer Friendly Page" button to print the info, the shipping cost info disappears completely and the payment status is shown as "Payment in Process" instead of having the payment date.
This is a problem since I (and others) print off this page and file it and use it for bookkeeping purposes.

Hello block36,
I checked with a colleague to figure out whether you are supposed to get a phone call or not, they confirmed that you are and the call should come shortly. In the meantime, I'm sure Mat would be happy to have a follow up call with you if it'll help. If interested, I can ask him to reach out.

Someone called me and after about 2 minutes we got cut off so I have no idea what it was about i tried to call the number back but it's just a recording

Hello. Thanks for taking the time to hold these sessions. You are a brave soul. 🙂
Other than the (apparently sub-standard/stinky) packing tape, I have absolutely zero need for any of the supplies being offered through the coupon program.
My business uses standard manila envelopes (non padded) and 4 x 4 x 4 boxes. Neither of which I see listed as available.
I may not need the extra 7500 listings but, the extra $100 was slapped on my monthly fee.
I understand that, like all "major decisions" they are created by the U.S. staff and are custom designed for the U.S. market. Period.
But to launch the program as such to the Canadian market as they did is more than ill-advised.... it is a swift kick to the shins that missed by about 2 feet, so to speak.
How about the following...?
Lower my monthly store fee and put the kibosh on the supplies.
Or
Roll back the store fee increases until the long and arduous negotiations with a potential Canadian supplier is in place.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress.

I'm not sure how these session last, but I only have two weeks left to use a coupon.
I'm a Canadian who lists on the US site.
I received a US coupon for shipping supplies which I'm unable to use.
Raphael, you suggested that I should use the Canadian coupon but I have not received one.
Are Canadians who list on .com going to receive a coupon which can be used for shipping supplies?
If so, when will we receive our coupon? Time is running out.
TY

I just got mine yesterday. eBay email. If not there, look at the bottom of your ca summary page. Mine was there. I cannot access it from com.

I have 2 selling accounts so rec'd 2 coupons, one for each store. Can I combine and use both for one order? Otherwise, one coupon by itself doesn't even cover the cost of shipping.
