My guest information won't let me log in to view my order details

Hi,

I followed the instructions in my email to sign in as a guest. When that wouldn't work and I could not find a way to contact customer service or an answer to my question under 'help & contact' I created an account thinking I would be able to find the way to contact customer service directly yet all the options I have tried don't allow me to get through.

Does anyone know how to see the status of a guest order if the log-in doesn't work or how to contact Customer Service directly?

Other than trying to find a way to finally succeed in getting a phone number out of the Help&Contact (it is very difficult to do) this is what eBay says about viewing a guest order:

From the eBay pages:

You can buy some items without registering as an eBay member, by using Buy It Now, and you can see your order details by following the link in your confirmation email. On the order details page you can see your purchased items, shipping status, and tracking numbers, return an item or report that you didn't receive an item.
