Have had a non payer.  Three emails no response.  Have offered to the next highest bidder through second chance.  How doe the new buyer pay me through the proper ebay channels?

From my experience, you get an email when you are given a second chance offer that says to log into eBay and pay.

Oops!

So what happens when the first bidder wakes from his coma and pays you?

You now have two buyers for one widget.

Go to the Resolution Centre, open an Unpaid Item Dispute and close it as soon as possible (about 96 hours, sorry) Then make the offer to the underbidder.

Never make a second chance offer until after you have completed the transaction with the original winner. In your case, you should have made the second chance offer until after the original winner received an unpaid item strike.

When you have a non payer, do not bother sending any reminders. When they first win, they are given an email from ebay indicating they won. Then they get your invoice which is a second reminder that they won and need to pay. When you file an unpaid item dispute (you can do it in as little as 2 days after end of sale but I think it is better to wait 4 days instead), that is their third reminder that payment is due. Four days after filing the dispute, close it and the non payer will get a strike and you get a credit for the final value fee and then you can make the second chance offer. Add the non payer to your blocked bidders list and set your buyer requirements to block bidders with 2 or more unpaid item strikes in the past 12 months.

Non payers should get unpaid item strikes and be added to block bidders lists. Period.
