I am in Canada and registered on .ca.
Does it matter if I open a Store on the .com or the .ca site?
I currently list on both sites.
I had a store years ago and can't remember which way I did it!

Open on .ca. It is cheaper!

On eBay.ca, you pay your monthly fees in Cdn$

I'd go with dotCA.
In addition to the lower fees and being billed in Canadian dollars, if you are selling in categories with shipping caps (like media) you will not be able to charge a reasonable amount for shipping on dotCOM.
With dotCA you are working with Canada Post shipping rates and can use Calculated Shipping. Don't forget to use metric measurements.
But do list in US dollars. All the world understands the US dollar and the American customer understands nothing else.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

This is very confusing!
I presume you can still "list on .com" regardless of which store you have?

"I presume you can still "list on .com" regardless of which store you have?"
That is correct.
Where the store is located (.ca or .com) is totally irrelevant as far as where you place your listings. They could be on any of eBay 20+ worldwide sites.
Having a store on .ca currently costs less because the same monthly fee is charged in Cdn$ on .ca instead of US$ on ,com

I think it depends on your billing currency. I have a store on .ca and my billing currency is US so I pay store fees in US dollars. I also list everything in US dollars so it evens out.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I think that if you are registered in Canada, you have to open it on .ca. It doesn't really matter though as your store will show up on both sites and you can list on either on.
