Package didn't come, replacement package didn't come

2 months ago I ordered something on ebay, it was coming from hong kong with "free shipping" so I expected it to take a while. When it didn't come on the estimated date I made a ebay/paypal claim and messaged the seller. The seller said they would send another one and that it would be here by june 18, so I never pursued the claim (may have been dumb on my part) and now I think its expired. June 19 and it hasn't come yet. So I messaged them and told them I want my money back. They replied and asked for my paypal email, but apparently ebay doesn't let you put emails in messages.

What should my next course of action be?

edit: Now I can't even find what I bought in the "My ebay" section.

Package didn't come, replacement package didn't come

Hello 'gabemazz',

The general 'rule of thumb' is that you never accept a promised second item.  That is

almost always a delaying technique to get you to wait past day 45 when you can no longer

file a claim, -- and now you are being delayed past day 60 when you can no longer leave

feedback.

If your payment came from a credit card you might be able to file a chargeback by calling the

1-800 number on the statement or back of the card.  You must have all the transaction details

in front of you when you place the call.

You have a low feedback score and sellers from that region of the world all too frequently rely

on your not knowing how the system works, -- and being too nice to ruthlessly enforce your

claim even if you do.

45 days is just over 6 weeks.  When you open a claim, you have a further 21 days to conclude it.

Next time, pursue it to the end and get your money back.

If, by some miracle, the item shows up, -- you promptly repay the seller.

The seller already has you paypal email because he got it when you bought the item.  Sure, he

might have to look for it, but by this time I doubt he has any intention of doing anything.

You cannot continue your claim, I assume you cannot leave feedback, - but if you can, do it now.

Polite and truthful will make you appear more believable to other buyers.

What you describe happens so often to new users.  It is a common query on these boards.

If you do not file that claim no later than day 43, you get nothing and the seller keeps the money

and the item.

Never let this happen to you again.

Thank you for the reply. Doesn't ebay do anything about these types of sellers? Can't they be banned?

I have the same problem too.

I can't find any information about the item, they already gone

And I can't find any number to call eBay.

It just like eBay hide the number doesn't let the customer call them.

anyone can give me the ebay number?
