PayPal emails not providing all the info?

Last night I got a PayPal payment email (which is good because PayPal hasn't been very reliable with them lately ?:|), but it had no address, no confirmed/unconfirmed info, and no message. I emailed the buyer and told him I needed an address to ship to, along with any other information he should have provided in the message section! I logged into my PayPal account and went into that transaction and found the info, intact. Since then I've had several emails with the same problem.

Anyone else getting this glitch? I hope it's fixed soon because it's severely messing me up! X-(

Yep, me too! And I've been reading on the US board that it's a major problem. Also, the payments have been coming in without shipping charges indicated but, when you add up the items purchased, the total does seem to include the shipping. Very confusing and very much a problem!

By the way, paypalAmanda had responded to the US thread with assurances that PayPal is aware of the problem users are having and is working diligently to correct it. Note that it's the "users' problem", not PayPal's problem!

Also, apparently, some buyers are having a problem making their payments. Seems history really does repeat itself!

Glenda, thanks for the info from the US forum. I've never been there, only here, so I appreciate your point of view. It's the users' problem, eh? That's almost funny. 😛

Had the same problem, but effective today, addresses started to again appear. So I guess Paypal has it repaired.

Jeff, this is off-topic but I just went to have a look at some of your auctions and saw, for the first time, your Abbott & Costello doing the Charleston -- I almost spit my coffee all over my computer! Really cute!!

OK - back to PayPal - I got one this morning as well with the address so it's working at this end of the country as well.

God day to all you e-bay junkies ! first time on form so i am not sure whet to expect ! The problem that I am having at the moment is that I am not getting any notifications that an item has been paid for from paypal? but infact the item was paid for ! In my check out it shows not paid ! I very seldom go into paypal to check for payments because I thought it went automatically ! OH boy !! Not all the listing just a few hear and there just enough to mess you up a little ! I have even e-mailed - E-bay 3 days ago no response from them ! I read a few of the concerns in this form and I do not think they have it sorted out ? ? can someone get me in the write direction.

I really think that the only thing you can do is to get into the habit of checking your PayPal account at least once a day - it seems to be the only way to be sure you aren't missing anyone!

Like everything else around here, PayPal worked great until eBay bought it and started making improvements to it.

I guess they never heard the saying "If it aint broke, dont fix it!!!"

Yup, I concur. Although I seem to get all of my payment notifications from Paypal, from time to time it is slow (by a few days). Best to log onto Paypal and check your status....

Well ...... c'mon over Jeff! You could make this your winter layover! There's always several courses that stay open all winter (some are pretty swampy - you might not want to play them!!!) But, let's face it, in the winter a round of golf is a ROUND OF GOLF and just being out there is such a bonus!

Oooohhhh, I'm ready for a round right now!!!! For a couple of lessons, you have a bed waiting for you!! (DH and favourite son both have a slice that won't quit and I CAN'T seem to get any distance. HEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPP .....
