Problem with shipping with Canada Post

A week ago I bought a watch that was sent out to me using Canada Post Xpresspost service. Initially the package had no problems being shipped out from BC. And I live in Toronto. The package was expected to be delivered on 2015/12/14. Today it is 2015/12/20. The problem is that the item gets shipped out, but a couple of minutes later it comes up with the error "Verifying recipient's address; Possible delay". And this repeats everyday.  In the afternoon the package gets sent out for delivery, couple of minutes later "Verifying recipient's address; Possible delay" then it gets sent back to the sorting facility for the cycle to repeat itself in the next day. So far this has happened 4 times this week. Since its the weekend now, there's no movement on the package. I'm getting tired of this and just want to get this resolved. I've tried calling Canada post, which they never pick up, and I've also asked them on twitter for solutions, which they don't respond to. At this point i'm waiting it out for them to realize that there is a problem and solve it. Could I get some advice on what to do. Pls help me.

Have you contacted the shipper and asked them what mailing address they used?

Go to your local Postal Outlet and ask if they have it.

 

Bring government issued picture ID that includes your address or picture ID and a utility bill with your name and address.

 

There's a good chance that it's waiting there.

 

Are you by any chance in an apartment building?

Are you sure your eBay and your Paypal accounts have your correct address including apartment or supermailbox number?

 

Is your own name on your mailbox or some other household members? If your name is Smith and the apartment box is named Jones, the postie may be cautious.

have you checked your shipping address with paypal? if there is a mistake in your shipping address you might want to go to the post office in person better than the phone hope that helps

Update: They ended up shipping a week after the due date, I guess they were just to lazy or dident bother enough to deliver my package.
