Refund time

Anyone know how long it takes for refunds to appear in someone's account? I think a buyer is trying to scam me into giving him a 2nd refund. I told him it might take a few business days but said I don't know for sure since I've never bought & paid for something I didn't want

If the refund is made with funds from the account, the refund is seen in the buyer's account within seconds.

What about if they pay with a credit card? That would have to take a few days wouldn't it?

You are the seller.  Your PayPal account shows you made the refund (if made from PayPal funds). The buyer should have seen the same refund.

I believe that if the original payment was from a cc or bank account that it does take some time. I don't even know if either of those would ever show up on the paypal account..I would think that they wouldn't but I don't really know.

The bank account might take some time, since it has to move through two banking systems, but the credit card should be instant.

However, I understand that the refund may only show on the customer's credit card account and not on Paypal.
