Sell Photo

Before you start selling you should do a little buying here to learn what a buyer expects and how you as a buyer want to be treated. Then you will know how to treat your own customers.

(1)How can I sell only photos (without frame) on eBay?

There is a Sell Your Item form under Sell at the top of this page.

Look it over. Take your time.

It is a good idea, since you are selling art to watermark your work.

Since English is not your first language, have a friend who is more fluent help you write your descriptions.

Make your listings on a desktop or laptop. But also look at the listing on a mobile device, because a lot of customers shop from their phones.

(2)What is reprint means?

A reprint of a photo means (as I understand it) that the print being sold was not taken from the photographer's original negative.

can buyer download photo from ebay?

Yes. But digital prints must be sold on eBaydotCOM as digital items. There is almost no seller protection on such products.

or seller has to ship the sold photo to buyer?

This is also possible. Since the seller controls both the product (paper, size, quality, shipping service, tracking) this is much more appropriate for art works.

Note that digital photos are one of the classic scam items on eBay. If you want to be taken seriously as an artist, you will not sell these. Most that are offered  are really methods of building feedback quickly allowing both buyer and seller to set up scam operations that at a glance look respectable.

(3)what is the packing standard for photos?

I would suggest sandwiching the print between two stiffeners (corplast or foamboard) and using the light card envelopes sold as photo envelopes.

You are responsible for getting the product to the buyer promptly and securely.

Shipping is the most difficult part of selling on eBay. Look at the Canada Post website. Run some dimensions through it.

For Canada use K1A 0A6 / X0A 0H0/ V8V 1X4

For USA use 90210 and 20500

Those postal codes are mostly government buildings in various places.

(4)How seller can search his posted photos status on eBay?

Oh dear, you really need to do some more buying and researching before you try to sell.

Sigh.

All your items will show up on your Selling page as Active items.

Also until you reach certain numbers and value of sales, your customers' payments will be Held for 21 days against your good customer service.

So don't expect to make any money on this for at least three weeks after your first sale.

If your customer is unhappy, she can Dispute the transaction for up to six months and get her money back.
