When you purchase on eBay, you do not purchase from eBay.
You purchase from a seller advertising his products on eBay.
The goods get delivered to you depending on the shipping method used by the seller, generally outlined in the listing.
Delivery may be to your home address if this is the address you have listed with eBay and PayPal. If taxes (and possibly brokerage fee) are payable, they will be collected from you at time of delivery (except for FedEx who often sends an invoice at a later date).

If you're ordering something that's being delivered by mail, it's a bit of anybody's guess as to how it will finally reach you.
The only thing I've had to collect from the post office recently was something that arrived when I wasn't home. However, I have also just had items waiting for me on my front deck.
If you have a Supermailbox, the item may end up in there or you may have to collect it from the post office.
If there are taxes owing on the item, that will also affect whether the item is simply dropped off or if you'll have to go collect it from the post office.
Does that help at all? The second part of your question was a bit hard to understand.

I noticed you have purchased two items so far from eBay sellers.
One from China and the other one from the USA a few weeks ago. That listing did not specify what shipping method the seller was using. You should contact the seller (email address on your PayPal payment) to get more information as to what was shipped when and how.
