Three logicians walk into a bar:
The bartender asks, "would all three of you like some beer?"
The first one replies,"I don't know"
The second one replies, "I don't know either"
The third replies, "Yes all three of us would like a beer"

Perfectly logical!
Had either of first two not wanted one he/she would have answered "no".
The third wanted one and now knew the others did too so..."Yes all three of us would like a beer"

They probably discussed having a drink before they entered the bar, and were just messing around with the bartender.
Otherwise, the first two would not have known if "all three" of them wanted a beer when they responded. (Like mebbe two of them were gonna order a Diet Coke.) The third one (Lebanon Levi - Amish Mafia) Is obviously the ringleader who gets to make all the decisions.

Sorry guys - you are all incorrect.
The clue is in the bartenders question: "would all three of you like some beer?"
The answer can not be individualized.
At least - thats my take on it anyway.

Yeah, the bartender should have pluralized "you", as in "would all three of youse...".

widgetc is correct.
"would all three of you..."
Breaking it down for you:
When the first logician answers the question, the logical choices are:
"no" if he does not want a beer or "I do not know" if he wants a beer as he does not know if the next two guys want a beer
When the second logician answers the question, the logical choices are:
"no" if he does not want a beer or "I do not know" if he wants a beer as he does not know if the third logician wants a beer. He knows the first logician wants a beer since he did not answer "no".
When the third logician answers the question, the logical choices are:
"no" if he does not want a beer or "yes" if he does as he already knows the first two logicians want a beer since they did not answer "no".
It is logical. 🙂

illogical. The first two guys can not answer "no" to the question, because the question was directed to all of them, and not singularly. ie. there is a big difference between "would you like a beer", as opposed to "would all of you like a beer".
I dunno what they are teaching bartenders these days, re greeting customers. It is very confusing.

"It is very confusing"
Not if you think logically. Read post #6 again.

Logically, the first two guys cannot answer either in the affirmative or negative, unless they are speaking only for themselves, and not the entire group. And the third guy doesn't have to make a positive assumption; he could also say "I don't know" based on the "I don't knows" of his friends.

I'd prefer a Cointreau, no ice with a slice of blood orange, if you're buying.

I am allergic to beer.... There is something in beer that just does not agree with me...
However, a good bottle of wine, red preferably, will cure what ails me, logically..
The only thing I undersatnd about logic is that up is up... unless you live in Australia... where my UP is an Australian's DOWN...Up is Down logically....
