Tracking Confusion.

Ok so this is my first time buying from Ebay. Ive bought goods online before but never from Ebay. To start i will just mention that my item was shipped via GSP from USA to Canada, and it is a replacement hard drive for a laptop. Its been close to a week now so im not going to panic yet, but, im having trouble understanding what my package is doing in transit. Ive bee tracking it on the USPS website which is telling me sless than what they are telling the seller. The last update i received  was yesterday with the status "Delivered" to ERLANGER, KY. While the updates the seller is being given is more detailed. The confusing part is my package has been to this location already. Here is the last bit of the tracking list that the seller is given.

Delivered to US Shipping Center-Delivered

Jun-03-14, 17:49 PM, ERLANGER, KY 41018

In Transit with Destination Carrier

May-31-14, 15:48 PM, ETOBICOKE, ON M8V0A1

Customs Cleared

May-31-14, 15:48 PM, ETOBICOKE, ON M8V0A1

Shipped from US Shipping Center to International Destination

Keep in mind that my package has already been processed in the US Shipping Center at Erlanger, where it made its way to Ontario, Why did my package go through customs, come to Canada, then go back to the USA again... Should i be worried?

Ah never mind i just checked the Canadian post office website and its currently being processed there. I was confused because apparently USPS has no idea where my package really is so they just tacked on delivered i guess. Not sure how to close a thread but, problem solved.

Re: Tracking Confusion.

I wouldn't worry yet.

Normal shipping from the USA can be upwards of 20 days. \

And as for any tracking... GIGO.. it\s only as good as the clerk doing the inputting.

If at 20 days notihing has turned up, file an Item Not Recieved dispute (up there top right Customer Support) and get your money refunded.

But I doubit it will come to that.

BTW, both tracking and the GSP are for the use and protection of the seller. As the buyer, your protection comes from eBay/Paypa's Buyer Protection Policy.

If you  had never seen the tracking, you would not have been upset. This is why I don't think 'tracking' should be of any concern to buyers.
