I bought an item and checked out as a guest,then received a tracking number, how do I track my item?

Hello 'steph-dobbi',

If clicking on the actual tracking number in your Purchase History does not work,

then once the item arrives in Canada you will be able to monitor its progress here:

http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?execution=e1s1

 

That is, if it isn't here already.  You didn't say if it was bought close to home or not.

 

If, however, the tracking number is a complete fake, you must be sure to know how to file

a claim to get back your money.  If you paid with a paypal account, be sure to read the

following:

If you used a credit card, your card may offer a chargeback option for a no-show purchase

by calling the 1-800 number on the back of the card.

 

Just never be delayed past day 45 to file a claim and day 60 to leave feedback.  Some

sellers are experts at stalling techniques to get you to do nothing and end up losing

your money.

Much depends on where you bought it from, really.

Tracking is useful to sellers, because producing proof of delivery will end a fake Item Not Delivered claim immediately.

It is not useful, except emotionally, to buyers.

If an item is not recieved within :

15 days from Europe

20 days from North America

30 days from Asia

First ask the seller for the date of shipping, the service used and the Delivery Confirmation number. He may not have the last and that is not a problem. Tracking is expensive.

If the seller's response is not helpful*, open an Item Not Recieved dispute up at the top right of this page. (Customer Support-> Resolution Centre). If the seller cannot prove delivery, you will be refunded.

 

You have only 45 days to file a Dispute. Do not let this deadline pass.

 

 

 

 

 

 

* An offer to replace the item, especially from an Asian seller, should be regarded as a scam.
