Re: Urgent help re error Canada Post/Paypal.

That is an easy fix. Either you are trying to mail something too heavy for Expedited USA or your declared amount is higher than the weight you entered the previous page. (You are saying that you're mailing 60 ads that weigh 14 lbs each.)

And I'd rephrase it to read Collection of 60 Used CDs with a total weight and total value. There are problems right now with Item Description not being correct on the labels despite what users enter if they enter more than one type of thing. Keep it as simple as possible.

Ok I see what you mean.  But if my package weighs 14.6 lbs for 63 CD's how would I get the weight for 1 CD.  Sorry I am brain dead right now.

Re: Urgent help re error Canada Post/Paypal.

Country of Origin is where the CDs were manufactured

Are you certain they were created in Ontario? Or were they made overseas and shipped here to sell to a Canadian market?

Divide your total weight by the number of CDs and you get the weight of one. Or weigh that one.

p.s. Customs doesn't care if your 63 CDs weigh 14.6 lbs or 13.9 lbs. There is an expectation that you don't need to declare the weight of packaging material.

In the Description, just enter CD Music Collection; Quantity: 1; Item Value: (Total Cost for entire sale); Item Weight: 14 lbs. 6 oz. or 6.5 kg.  Make sure the weight is the same on the previous page.  In short, just treat this as one item.
Good luck and congratulations on a nice sale.

Re: Urgent help re error Canada Post/Paypal.

Thank you everyone for your help.  It worked and I have now taken the box with the CD's to the PO and they scanned it in.  Also my weight scale was right on the money.   I couldn't have done it without all the advice and expertise of this board.  You all deserve a pat on the back.

Smiley Very Happy

My question now is I was going to just mark shipped on the listings not put the tracking number on except for the one I used to ship expedited.  I looked at the expected delivery and it is anywhere between May 23 and June 1.  I am expecting it to be there in about a week, by the 21 or 24th at the latest.  Is there a problem with what I want to do??

If it were me, I wouldn't take a chance with eBay.  Supposedly our rating is not dependent on uploading tracking as are American sellers but, to be safe, I would simply copy and paste the tracking number on the listings. I believe the eBay system will view these as 60 individual sales.  It shouldn't take long.

Re: Urgent help re error Canada Post/Paypal.

If all the purchases were made on May 12/16, and I have a 2 day handling, when did/do I have to get it in the mail by?

Re: Urgent help re error Canada Post/Paypal.

Your 63 items will count as 63 individual sales. Upload your tracking number via Copy & Paste to them all. If you don't, you run the risk of getting 62 defects

Two-day handling is supposed to be 2 business days.  By rights, it should be in the mail no later than Monday, May 16th.  If I sold these on Thursday, the 12th, I would put the parcel in the mail on Friday, even if it was just before the 5:00 pick-up.  If, for some reason, I couldn't, then I would still print the label no later than Saturday, the 14th, even if there was no mail pick-up until Monday.  Americans get Saturday delivery, so if they check the label and see it dated Monday, May 16th, they might think you didn't meet your 2-day handling time.  It's highly unlikely that a buyer would check that carefully, but at least you have your behind covered.

But I'm a "better safe than sorry" kind of person, so others may disagree.

Re: Urgent help re error Canada Post/Paypal.

If some of the purchases were made on Wednesday May 11 at 11PM Pacific time  and the rest were made on Thursday May 12/16, and I have a 2 day handling, when did/do I have to get it in the mail by?   Now according to ebay.ca because it is on eastern time, all purchases were made on May 12/16.

That is what I am worried about.  Normally I usually ship the same or next day but in this case, because there were 63 CD's I needed extra time to find them, find a box, pack them etc etc. I wasn't ready to ship until today Saturday May 14 and of course there is no pickup today.  I dropped the box off at a postal outlet that has Sunday pickup.

So I do not know how they count handling.  If I show for the CD's that were purchase on May 11 a tracking number now that doesn't get scanned in until Sunday, how will that affect me?

Re: Urgent help re error Canada Post/Paypal.

It's the Acceptance Scan that counts, not pick-up.

Then that's all you need to worry about so far as your handling time commitment.
