In 1999 I with others set up pirate radio station called DRK RADIO.
It was great fun and lasted for about one year.
There was some great djs playing blues to rock pop and a bit of everything.
The djs names were in code so the powers that be did not know who we were.
There was the silver fox
The hairy man
Dj hacker
Billy the kid
Togge
Chris Carroll
And many more.
What I would like to do now is start it again on this board.
You be the dj and find the music video you want to play on YouTube and post a link on here.
You can also post a video of you talking about the song you picked if you like.
And the next posted do the same.
I will get the ball rolling

This was the very first song played at live aid.
Not a great song, but we have to start with something.
Can you do better, please join in.

Every morning deserves a kick start. Today at 7:30 I threw in the CD, cranked up the speakers throughout the house and got started with this…………. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JryQXilMj4

Here are a couple for the lazy, mellow morning (wow, it's actually afternoon now) that I'm having. Enjoying the view of the snow covering our field from the bay window around my computer desk, and not getting much of anything done.
and trying to energize myself a bit with:
Time for another hot drink and maybe a bit of work.
Cheers! Heather

Another musician I met in the 60's - god, that is so long ago:

The pictures show him with two security guards before the concert. This is one of the better pics. In most of them, he looks pretty wasted. Picture quality is poor. I was a teen with a cheap camera.

As the darkness settles over the land and creatures of the day sleep, while others come to life, and the mist settles over the farm fields………it is time for…….. Vide Cor Meum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AfX4hjaT4A&feature=related

Here are a couple of songs to get me in the mood for some Christmas shopping at our local midnight madness sale tonight.
A classic:
and a riotously fun version of:
I love that version, actually it's the only version I like.
Enjoy!
