Im buying a sight and this shows up... This transaction should have nothing to do with the US. It says the item is based in China.

But eBay is an American company (with financial offices in Switzerland).

This is their site and if they decide they will not allow particular items to be sold here, they can do so.

Try listing pre- revolution Cuban stamps sometime, you can't do it because post-revolution Cuban goods are banned in the USA.

Other sites may be more flexible. Or not.
