What's ebay's input when it comes to sold for parts/as is, items?

Hi, let's say I sell a piece of hardware AS IS for parts and non working and describe all the issues and take pics. And let say, there's no return policy...can buyers still find a lame excuse to return it to the seller. What's ebay's stand on that? thanks!

A no return policy is meaningless. If buyer does not want it, they just say it is not as described and send it back and if you don't refund - eBay/PayPal will.

You can accept the return, and refund minus a handling charge and without the shipping fee.

And your buyer can leave feedback and Detailed Seller Ratings.

so.

Accept refunds. Try to smile while you do it. Keep in mind that those wasted post office costs are tax deductible.

From time to time, you may find it useful to accept photos, especially of PO damaged parcels, rather than insisting on return at the buyer's expense.

But generally, returns for refund are accepted.

Do NOT refund until you have the item back in your hands.

False!

A badly worded Return Policy combined with a poor quality listing with deficient Title, Item Specifics, Description and pictures is useless.

If done properly there is no problem selling "as is" items.

Make sure your Title, Condition Description and item Specifics fields are complete and accurate. The actual body of the listing, the Description area is actually less important should there be an issue.

As always, under promise and over deliver.
