Who are the IDIOTS that's running Paypal?

I requested for a new paypal/debit card a month ago because of security concern. After wasted many minutes on the phone waiting and transferred they said there's no problm i'll get a new one in 7 to 10 days.

A month passed by and there's nothing so i called again, this time they don't even recognize me because i can't type in the old card # anymore; after being probed and probed i was transferred (again) to someone else and i was told the application was stalked and the process never began (no explanation), i'll get my card in 2 to 4 weeks this time.

Every couple months there's something really bad going on with paypal myself and new story emerged every so often from other sellers 😞

every time i called to get an update it takes 45 minutes minimum, i waited 5 minutes for them to pick up the phone, another 15 minutes for them to wait so they can check and then transferred to a supervisor, more wait...and i found out it was NOT processed again!

all the while my funds are tied up.

does anyone has an up to date paypal executive contact info?

Why don't you do like most sellers - withdraw your money to your bank account.

I would suggest to stay away from the Paypal credit card. I had a problem using it in a Future Shop in Montreal last year. The transaction was declined for no reasons and I had suffient funds (they swiped the card twice but everytime it was declined). Called Paypal asking for explanation. They didn't know why. BUT Supposelly charged me twice. (over $1000 was charged from this transaction).

I spent over 1 hour explaining to Paypal (supervisor) that transaction had been declined and I had proof of receipt showing declined. Finally won my case (had to get Future shop to fax in proof of transaction not processed and arguing over phone with Paypal. I decided after that to cancel the credit card but strangely last month they sent me another one without my authorization.(even after speaking with a rep to have it canceled.).

Stay away from Paypal credit card if you don't want any problems.

The key word in all that is likely "Future Shop, home of the "bait and switch" advertising scams.

You likely got nearly taken by someone using a hidden reader. Lots of scams like that going on right now. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I can't be sure, of couse, but some unscrupulous retaillers ( or clerks) install a duplicate reader - when you swipe your card once, there's a separate entry made and they can put any amount they want in.

Sometimes they physically sipe the card twice if the customer isn't looking, but it's not too hard for an "enterprising" clerk with computer experience to wire the main card reader in parallel with a storage device. I believe there are computer people at Future Shop and they would have the expertise to do this.

You get a "no sale" slip back and they pocket the proceeds of another sale on the side.

I wouldn't go back to that store again if I were you. -------------------------------------------------------------------

I dought this was a scam by Future Shop. This is a big chain and they have security guards at cash and enterence. I used an another credit card and it worked perfectly fine. It was the Paypal credit card that had problem. It even took them 30 days too refund the over-charge.

They've already been convicted of "bait and switch".

i have been using this card to pay ebay fees (in us funds) along with couple other suppliers.

while ebay takes paypal as a form of payment, other suppliers are not signed up with paypal.

in order to pay them with funds in have i need to have this debit/credit card 😞

"we are not a bank" is a common excuse used by payapl. No they are not, they are much worse 😞

today is May the 8th and i have spent at least one hour everyday talking to them since May 6th (and lot of hours since march 10 when i asked the card to be replaced) and they are telling me a diferent story everytime; there's no re-collection (as in note) of what was promised or discussed last time, their left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

The last supervisor i spoke to swtiched me to a latino line after i've been waiting for 35 minutes, i can hear all the latino conversation for 7 minutes and then 'click", connection was lost 😞

These people are so poorly trained and organized, it's absurd.

Ignorant and arrogant, that's what got the American in trouble.

I use the Paypal card mainly when I'm in the States and have had no problem with it. I use at USPS, Meijers, etc and if I use it as a debit card I can get cash back with no ATM fee, or if I don't need cash I can get a bit of a kickback from paypal if I use it as a credit card. I'm happy with it.

the old card was cancelled before the new one arrive and all hell broke lose 😞

if this were a visa of mc, i would receive the new one first and in less than 1 week.

May 11th update

spent another 45 minutes with these people they kept apologizing though by the tone of it they don't mean it :(; i have spent over 10 hours with them since march!

they still have no idea what's going on, saying a speicalist by the name of Jason is looking into it but provide NO direct contact information or Jason's id for further communication; all these useless people are hiding behind their desk afraid to talk to their customer 😞

my suppliers are not being paid, i am behind in my payments, my credit ratings are being affected and i cannot order new stocks until this is resolved 😞 and they told me not to worry!!!!!!!!!

hmm.. I have never used their card but I dont see a need for it. Why are your funds stuck? why cant you withdraw to your account like the rest of us ?

Why don't you open a commercial bank acount so you can transfert your PAYPAL funds this way you can write checks to your suppliers.

That does not make any sense.

As suggested last week (post #2) and others why don't you do what all other sellers do: withdraw money to your bank account instead of relying on a debit card.

It makes every sense if you know how the paypal debit card works.

i am also in the process of reactivating my US account as i have learned that it's a system wide issue with paypal that all new canadian debit cards applications are being affected; it's been two months and they have no end dates in sight.

any other business would have gone out of business 😞
