I had occasion to call paypal the other day, and I just need to say, that they were incredibly easy and nice to deal with.  They were polite, (even though I might have had a bit of attitude to begin with).

They understand my problem immediately, were extremely competent in fixing the problem, were articulate in their  English and overall it was a great experience.  I only wish that calling ebay would be the same positive experience.

Paypal's customer reps are much more personal and professional than Ebay's in my experience as well. Maybe they have less responsibilities though, as their scope is much narrower? I have found that Ebay reps will often make things up on the spot just to placate you and to get to the next call quicker.
