It is frustrating trying to bid, as an automatic bidder can outbid you in the last few seconds of an auction. Grrrrr. Any suggestions to help me be a better bidder?

u need to just put it higher than the mystery autamatic bid.

Enter biggest amount, you willing to pay, system will choose higher bid against others buyers.

It it not necessarily someone outbidding you during the last seconds. They could have bid on the first day of the auction and not bid again. As long as you do not outbid their hidden maximum, you will get the outbid notice. It may appear they are bidding at the last seconds but it is actually ebay using enough of that person's maxium bid to keep them in the lead until someone else outbids them.
