If the seller has a merchant account with the credit cards companies, then you can pay them directly with a credit card but most smaller sellers do not have that type of merchant account.
I believe that you can pay with a credit card through Paypal and not have to sign up with Paypal although I've never tried to do it.

You don't want to use Paypal - although it offers excellent Buyer Protection against fraud and damage.

You can ask any seller BEFORE BIDDING if she will accept an International Postal Money Order which she can cash at her local post office.
This will cost you about $3.50 and will take about 10 days for delivery. There is no Buyer Protection. If the seller does not even send anything, you will have no comeback.
