Re: delivery person never left a note

If there was no note, how did you learn there was an attempt to deliver?

If you know the shipping company, phone their nearest office and ask if the sewing machine is there.

Usually the attempted delivery notice gives you a time and a place for pickup. It may also give instructions for arranging re-delivery.

If the machine was coming from outside Canada, and was not being shipped under the Global Shipping Program, be ready to pay Canadian duty and sales taxes before the company will turn your purchase over.

In addition the shipper will charge a service charge/ customs brokerage fees ranging from Canada Postt's $9.95 to $25 or more for UPS.

If you only learned that delivery was attempted because the seller got it back, she should be refunding you at least the original selling price.
