how can I set my account to not receive advertising emails?

Can my account be set to not receive emails for advertising?  I can't figure how to unsubscribe.

What kind of advertising do you receive? Are they from eBay or elsewhere?

Try under your name at top left, click "Account Settings", then click "Communication Preferences", then scroll down to "Promotions and Surveys" and click show.

Careful what you wish for.  By blocking eBay from sending you promotional information, you will never know about "free listing" ans other promotions. 

Is that what you really want or did you mean something else?
