If I have ship to usa and Canada only. How can someone from Australia buy my item and get mad because I told him not to pay or i would refund.

I also want to add that I tried to cancel the order but he did not accept nor decline idk if he will do either. Will I be hit with a defect if i do that is brutal that someone from Australia can buy and I have no other way of handling this.

If you used the cancellation choice buyer changed mind/problem with address you should be ok although if the buyer actually declines the cancellation, you might have to phone ebay about it. Any cancellations I've had lately were automatically closed after about 10 days although those went through the system as a refund, so in your case it might be different.

Obviously it is up to you where you want to ship but I do find Australia a very safe place to ship to as long as that particular item is compatible with the equipment there.

I noticed that you have quite a few listings that state shipping to Canada only with no price for shipping to the U.S. That might on purpose but thought I would mention it in case it is a mistake.

I almost forgot to answer the question in your title. They shouldn't be able to buy from you unless they have a Canadian or U.S. address IF you have other countries blocked properly. There is a setting in site preferences that you can check off to block buyers with a primary shipping address in a country that you don't ship to.

For me .....All countries other than Canada and the US have been blocked.... under "preferences.

Also one must take care to do a revision and add the block to all current listings on eBay...

Two buyers one from Norway and the second from the UK bought from me when their Primary Shipping Address on eBay was a Canadian address... The Paypal address is linked to this Primary Shipping Address on eBay and cannot be changed on Paypal.

Their purchase was as if they were living in Canada. They could buy, and they could NOT ask me to ship to Norway or the UK, as buyers from these two countries were blocked.

The key is to block countries... and add that block to all current listings on eBay....

It is not enough to say... "Ship to" Canada and the US... countries must be blocked.....

under .....Account > Selling preferences > Shipping Preferences > Exclude shipping locations from your listings....

and finally check off > Apply to all current live listings....

that's weird I have seen that option b4 in advanced would just think if you have shipping to united states and canada that it would auto block other countries ? or am i crazy for thinking that lol.
