If my item reaches the reserve price before the auction ends does it get sold for the reserve price or can I let the auction run out and I get what I get. Thanks

Re: reserve

If the reserve price has been met,the item will sell to the high bidder when the listing ends. This may very well be higher than the reserve price if the item attracts a lot of bids.A lot of bidding in auction listings occurs in the last few minutes or even seconds of a listing. My advice is to let the auction run to the end.

Re: reserve

A reserve price is considered the lowest at which you would be willing to sell the item.  You may indeed get much more by the end of the auction.  Here is a link that explains about reserves, if you wish to have a look:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/reserve.html

It is rather like a specific starting bid, so that you don't sell your item for too little.  Although with the starting bid, you don't pay the reserve fee like you will with a reserve auction whether the item sells or not.
