why i should pay for return shipping when i receive defective item ???

seller sent me defective item and told me, you should pay pay for return shipping item that i sent you!!

i paid 15$ for this item and i should pay 28$ for return it.

and ebay said "This is the policy"  !!!!!

Some sellers will pay return shipping but they

are not required to.

Why doesn't Sears come and pick up the items you ordered from their catalogue if you are unhappy with it?

femmefan ,good point.

In all fairness,it is beneficial to the seller to come to some kind of agreement with the disgruntled buyer for many reasons,

#1) as a goodwill gesture,

#2),to avoid a backlash with FB.

#3)is just the right,honest thing to do even if the seller pays for half the returned shipment cost,he/she will ensure other potential buyers to buy  with confidence.

If Sears delivered a DOA item, you have to pay for the return? No, they will bring a new one and take back the old one free of charge.
