I was wondering and extremely nervous about this, I ordered a tablet from china to canada(quebec). are all custom fees included in the 40$ of shipping and handling fee I paid for the tablet? Hope to god they are because the shipping is almost the price I paid for the tablet itself.

Your listing clearly reads:
Shipping: US $40.49(approx. C $41.13) - Economy Int'l Shipping
International items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges.
The US$40.49 shown in the listing only covers the shipping charge from China to QC.
Once it arrives in Canada, the parcel may be assigned duty (if applicable) and taxes (TVQ and TPS) by Canada Customs.
In addition, if delivered by Canada Post, a additional fee of $9.95 brokerage fee applies if duty or taxes were charged.

By the way, did you check your seller's feedback before purchasing the tablet?

"I need a certainty of charges"
Centainty does NOT exist if the parcel comes through Canada Post.
Plan on being charged both taxes and $9.95 brokerage fee (and possibly duty).
If it gets through Canada Customs without charge (it does happen quite often), it was your lucky day! 🙂

We cannot give you a certainty of charges.
However, Anything with a value of over $20.00 canadian is subject to HST or GST and Taxes.
Sometimes the parcel slips through Customs but not always.
If your parcel is checked by Customs and is sent through the postal system
you will have to pay the following.
Customs handling charge $9.95
Quebec gst and taxes $3.80
total $13.75

what are you implying??
I think what they are implying is that by reading the sellers feedback
he has a tendency to sell a lot of cheaply made items that do not work
or only work for a short time.

The problem there is if you file a claim for an item not as described
and paypal issues you a refund then you will have to send the item back
with delivery confirmation and to send it to china might be more than
what you paid for the item.

true but i've also noticed that this seller has refunded many items without asking the item back specifically because of the extremely high price of the return

if this seller refunds quite often, that tells me more than one thing.....first off, too many refunds, what does that make you ask yourself and second, if he actually refunds and is great to deal with, why all the negatives.....
