tracking numbers

I recently ordered from a seller in France. My order is showing as shipped, but there's no tracking number. Is this a common thing for international - over seas sellers to do?

International shipping is expensive. Your seller could be using a relatively inexpensive mailing method such as oversized letter or Small Packet which doesn’t have tracking. A lot of Canadian sellers do this for inexpensive, lightweight items.

Tracking is much more for the benefit of sellers than it is for buyers. We buyers have been oversold on the benefits of tracking. What’s of primary importance is receiving your item in the condition stated in the listing within the estimated timeframe. Keep an eye on the calendar.

You can ask your seller for the date of shipment, the service used, and the tracking number.

Don't get into a conversation.

And again, the high cost of tracking internationally makes many sellers decide to go commando on this Seller Protection.
