Positive feedback for buyers

Since I'm new to ebay, is it appropriate for me to ask a seller to give me positive feedback? I pay immeditaely after I've won a bid and I've noticed that since I start purchasing on ebay 2 weeks ago, I have 2 positive feedbacks points.  I hadn't received those items yet, and still they posted a positive comment.  Is this frowned upon?  The reason I ask is, since I started, I purchased about 10 items and paid them all immediately after I received the "Pay Now" after I won the item.  Do some sellers wait to see what kind of feedback THEY get before they give you feedback?  Thanks for any info.:) ... Is there somewhere on the eBay site where I can put in a specific word and when the item comes up for sale, it will email me about it? ... View more

Can a seller demand that your buying privileges be revoked if you leave neutral feedback?

I left neutral feedback about an item that I received.  Seller sent a request through ebay for me to revise my feedback.  The seller wrote in the message that if I don't revise my feedback to positive, then the seller demands that my buying privileges be revoked.  Will ebay remove my privileges because a seller demanded it because he/she only wants positive feedback? Ebay states that it wants us to leave open and honest feedback.  How can we do that if sellers demand that our privileges be revoked if we don't leave positive feedback.  I revised my original feedback to positive.  I tried contacting the seller afterwards, but can't.  I'm a new member of ebay.  What is the protocol for all of this? ... How is it that a buyer can win 4 or more bits, all closing at the SAME TIME...??

 the winning bits was posted 2-3 secs before closing !?? The winner was not amongst the 8 first bidders, so he could not have had an automatic/maximum bid posted. Are honest ordinairy bidders left out in the cold because ITsavy bidders have their computers doing the bidding ?? ... View more

what is the time limit for leaving feedback

I purchased a defective item and had to return the item to China without a tracking number. It took a month to receive the item,then a week+ of discussion and now the return. I'm guessing that this process will take 3 months to resolve. Will my opportunity to leave feedback expire? ... View more

VERY Excessive combined shipping charges

Been on EBAY 12+ years.  NEVER had this happen before!  Bid on & won 13 pairs of earrings (costume jewlery).  Seller is 2 hours away.  Total purchase is $12.87.  COMBINED shipping (via Canada Post - "Standard Intnl" so not a courier service - just regular mail...) is being requested at $65.87!!!!!!!!!!    Yes- $65.87 for $12.87/13 earrings!   Never received a response to 1st request for total with combined shipping - except standard automated message from EBAY. 2nd message (personally sent) was told I had received the total with $65.87 in shipping.  NO info is noted in selling listings about "handling" or packing - which I do ask about.   Most of us on/in the EBAY work on trust & common sense.  How do I (or any other buyer) puchase multiple items from a seller who says they will combine shipping (presumably because it costs buyers less & the shipping charges are realistic & do not go to the seller:  a win/win).   In over 12 years - the people I bought from were up front, reasonable, honest, in their combined shipping charges.  I think this situation is nuts - and if it continues with/extends to other sellers will be the undoing of EBAY.   I look very forward to your suggestions & responses.   Very upset!   Best Regards,   Linda ... Does anyone else have an issue with items for sale from China, especially antiques. I am very doubtful as to the authenticity. ie fakes.

I won an auction, sent payment, still not accepted and no response to messages. How long do I have to wait to cancel?

I have been waiting over a week already and there has not been one single response from the seller. The auction ended on Nov. 20 and I made payment on the 21st. I have sent 2 messages to him and have been checking to see if he has accepted payment but nothing as of yet.   I just want to know how I will be able to get out of this transaction. I went with this seller because I like to support the independents rather than the bulk sellers but I can get what I want for the same price from a seller that I KNOW will ship immediately. If this is the service I get from an independent, I will go with the bulk seller in the future.   ... View more
