It's been an interesting day in the City some call the Centre of the Universe.
First documents and other evidence were released showing Ford meeting in clandestine places with a man who was his personal driver, the same man arrested for drug dealing. The police were actually following the drug dealer and guess who shows up! One of the meetings was especially interesting when Ford and his driver both showed up minutes apart at a convenience store, wandered the isles separately ....... but never showed any sign of recognizing each others presence in the store.........and then Ford disappeared in the store bathroom for a while. Did Ford pick up from the shelves more than a bag of Doritos?
Now, the police have uncovered the video.........that's the one Ford said did not exist.......the one showing Ford smoking what 'seems to be' crack cocaine.....in the company of known drug dealers. Police Chief Blair having seen the video said....."I am disappointed".
Tick Tock

I dont buy that "everybody makes mistakes" excuse because its pretty clear he isnt sincere.
He continued to swerve around the crack video, calling other people liars and the media maggots knowing they are right about what they have reported.
He simply got caught and now he is doing everything he can to hold on to power.
No one should give him space. He is the mayor, he has the option to resign and get his life in order. He chooses NOT to and keep going on attack against people.

I just heard Sun media is giving Ford and his brother Doug their own news show. Seriously, this is not a joke. The announcement isn't a joke but the whole concept is. Then again it is Sun media, right down there in the bottom cesspit of journalism along with the Enquirer and Fox.
Someone suggested a couple of names for the show:
- Crack Dynasty
- Whose line is that?
We all laugh about Ford and comedy writers are having a field day, but there really is nothing funny about this buffoon.

From what I gather Ford has done alot for tax payers and over spending of tax payers money as the Mayor so it is a shame he fell apart so badly because the politician that does good for the people and economy is usually never elected for anything because they are the guys or girls that don't say yes yes yes they are the ones that try an make things better but don't promise the world ..
We always vote in the one that talks the best not that one that will do the best ...
If they added a 5% tax in the US that would help there economy in a big way but whatever president does that will not be president for long .. Even though that would be the guy to create 1000's of job and start paying of debt to secure people from losing 1000's more jobs nobody will vote them in because they are not promising a bunch of lies..
The best liar is always the one elected for the job...
F.O.R.D = F!(**) on reelection day

I'm so confused!
11-18-2013 03:23 PM
Yes, I can see how you get confused. Send $10 a month to the Conservative Party so they can use that money to pay for Mike Duffy legal fees. I find that confusing, don't you.
Wait, it gets worse. For every $10 you send to the Conservative Party the taxpayer through the federal tax system gives you back $7.50. I also find that confusing. Why would the federal government, headed by Steven Harper, through the tax system help you pay for the legal fees of a senator forced out of the Senate by the same Mr Harper for gross misconduct?
Who is confused now?

Now he is talking about running for Prime Minister.
Is he going to set up another party?
I can't see the conservatives taking him.

After listening to Rob Ford's interview with Peter Mansbridge, I have come to the conclusion that this is a man that is in total denial of a serious problem.
He's the Mayor of Toronto and is expected to live a life above that of a common street thug.
He definately has a serious drinking problem and I wish him all the best in overcoming that under the guidance of his health professionals.
When he said he had black-outs and can't remember doing crack while drunk, then you know he has a problem. His comments seem to indicate that he thought all people had this problem at one time or another.
No, most people do not have this problem. Most people do not get so drunk that they can't remember doing crack. In fact, most people remember everything they do until they pass out, unless they're a total alcoholic from very heavy drinking. So yes. Rob Ford does have a health problem.
All of this could have been avoided from the beginning if he just admitted to having a problem.
Valve, your comparison of Rob Ford and Justin Trudeau is silly. I can't help but notice that the Federal Conservatives have no problem dumping on Trudeau for admitting to smoking Pot years ago ( not fit to lead ) but don't seem to be saying the same thing about Rob Ford. Even though Ford has admitted to smoking and buying pot illegally, smoking crack and driving drunk while in office. Do you think it has something to do with Rob's politics?

I'd also like to add that if anyone had any doubts about the SUN News Network being a tabloid station ( or FAUX news - which means fake news ) had any doubt before - here is your proof. While everyone else is trying to keep their distance from Rob, the SUN News Network see's an opportunity to exploit it. Moderated by the one and only Ezra Levant.
Of course if it had been a Liberal or NDP member admitting to this they would screaming to high heaven on how they are unfit to govern.
Only in Conservative fantasy land.

"Valve, your comparison of Rob Ford and Justin Trudeau is silly." ???
Lighten up Leslie, most think it's funny unless you're a member of the Trudeau Nation.
Welcome aboard, bout time you returned to pump Liberalism!

Any counselor who is trying to force Ford to resign better not get caught driving while impared.

Any counselor who is trying to force Ford to resign better not get caught driving while impared.
Not at all comparable.
No one (or very few people) ever suggested Ford shouldn't be mayor or an elected official because of an impaired driving charge (which I believe he did have as a councillor).
It is the dozens and hundreds of progressively more serious lapses in judgment that got Ford in trouble.
He is supposed to represent Toronto. Think about it - you might not find a worse representative for the city unless you went into institutions like jails, mental hospitals or halfway houses
11-19-2013 11:57 AM
What choice is worse? Smoking crack or getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while impaired?
According to a lot of people I know he has done a better job as mayor while drunk or high on crack that previous mayors did while sober.
Maybe they give the deputy mayor to take crack to improve his performance?
I'm not comparing Ford to Winston Churchill, but Churchill was reported to drink a quart of whiskey a day during the war.
He seemed to able to do his job.
Sherlock Holmes was an opium addict.

"I know he has done a better job as mayor while drunk or high on crack"
???
"better job" ????
What does that mean?
Have property taxes in Toronto go up while he was mayor? Answer YES
Have municipal services been reduced while he was mayor? Answer YES
Has he talked a lot about unproven improvements and "billion" dollar savings? YES
Has he and his brother talked a lot about the so-called "gravy train"? YES
Could someone give a list of real - properly evidenced and verifiable - improvements to Toronto as a result of Rob Ford being the mayor?

No need to choose - Ford has done both and plenty more

Ford's drinking and driving incident happened before he was elected.
I don't see drinking and driving as being any less stupid than smoking crack.
I don't buy Ford's argument that he did while a drunken stupor.
But the people who are forcing Ford out better beware and better not have skeletons in their closet or they will pay.
Imo Ford should take a month leave of absence and get his personal life in order.
