Buy

I am new on eBay, just started buying this year. I have ordered about 7 vintage hockey items so far, I have received 2 at this point and both items the seller lied in their description, stated that the items were adult size but in fact they were not. Both were youth sizes too small for me to use. I feel like I have been deceived by the sellers and left out to be fed to the wolves by eBay because there is no where I can find to get help with this matter. I am waiting on a few more items to come in soon and if it’s all the same issue then I will have to give up on this site. Unless someone from eBay reaches out to me. ( And not an automated message a human) Thanks and have a great day, you only live once try your best to get it right.

Getting hold of humans by phone is tricky on eBay, but the site’s help pages are a good source of useful information.

Here’s a help page detailing how you can return a not-as-described item for a refund:

https://www.ebay.ca/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041

Don’t be put off if the seller has a “no returns” policy; that only applies to returns made because you changed your mind on your purchase or don’t like it.

Hope your other purchases work out for you!

Re: Buy

When you open a Not As Described claim , the seller is given the choice of sending you return shipping and refunding on arrival or abandoning the disputed item and refunding immediately.

If they do neither- if they ignore your Claim through the Money Back Guarantee- eBay refunds you, goes after the seller for their money, and gives the seller a Defect which can lead to higher fees, restrictions on the number and value of future listings, or even a closed selling account.

You are also covered by the chargeback policy of the credit card you paid with.

Debit cards, e-transfers and wire transfers have no chargeback provisions, effectively, so online ONLY use a credit card for purchasing.

A No Returns policy is not a No Refunds policy.

They are not even spelled the same.
