Item stuck at eBay shipping hub Carol Stream Illinois

I live in Canada and purchased item from a US seller. According to the tracking, # that was given, it's telling me that the item is at the eBay shipping hub. And every time I check, it's STILL there!! No change in status at all, what the hec!! I can't even get a hold of anyone on eBay in person to talk to, I always get redirected. What's going on. I paid for this item and it was somthing that I truly needed. 1 item US $39.99 Shipping US $32.44 GST/HST US $9.42 Duties US $0.00 Order total US $81.85 + Other charges that were taken, and it doesn't even show that at all. The total order came to $115.52. For me that's alot of money for someone who lives on a Disibility. Please is there any way I can find out why it's still at the CAROL STREAM IL DISTRIBUTION CENTER, 60199. Something is not right. I keep checking the tracking # that was given to me. It has not changed at all, no sign of movment what so ever. I'm scared, for all that money I paid is gone, and I won't get it back.

First of all, when was the item sent off by the seller and when is the last estimated delivery date?

In a discussion about similar events within the USPS system on the dotCOM Boards, the sellers there agreed that coast to coast delivery averages nine to 11 days.

People who don't often use mail order buying seem to think delivery will be overnight or at least within the week.

@deanie.marie.r   The number you got would only go as far as the eIS Plant. After that, a new number is assigned by the actual carrier. And to confuse matters, if the carrier sub-contracts "last mile" delivery, there could even be a third number.

Which is why you should never watch tracking.

Put that last estimated date for delivery on your calendar and have a cup of tea.

If the shipment has not arrived by the last estimated date, come back for further advice.

Oh- protip - don't phone customer service. They are poorly trained sub-contractors who actually work for a company based in Utah.

When it comes to dealing with eBay 's shipping hub, patience is really a must. No other way around it (I know that firsthand).

Like others have pointed out, look at the latest expected date of arrival. If it's past due, then you can open an INR ticket, and most likely you'll get your hard earned cash back.
