Need a customer service agent.

There is not a single working way I can contest my order. I am out $140. The automated CS function gives an error every single time I use it, regardless of the prompts I select.
There is apparently no call line anymore for Canada.

So, what? The seller gets to ship me items which were NOT what I ordered, he gets his $, and I have zero way to contest it or get refunded because its set to “no returns” and the system closed my case the moment I opened it.

This cannot be legal.
I paid for something I did not reveive.

Do not tell me to use the automated system, it is a dead end.

I need an agent. A human being who can look at my dispute. Requesting an agent in the automated CS also generates an error and dead-ends.

I need someone from Ebay to contact me.

Re: Need a customer service agent.

NO returns Does NOT mean NO refund...Did you follow due process for a Return?

Did you follow due process for eBay's Money Back Guarnatee policy?

https://www.ebay.ca/help/buying

If there is no resolve through eBay, you can resort to due process through your payment method..

Re: Need a customer service agent.

What is suggested there is that I involve Evay through the “return details” page. That was closed. “This return is closed” and no options are on the page.
It closed immediately, on Jan 3 when I requested a return.

There is no other option on the order details to request a refund or involve ebay

Re: Need a customer service agent.

If eBay has closed the request and is not allowing an appeal to that decision then perhaps the best way to resolve this is directly through your payment method. (ex. if paid by CC>chargeback process)

Re: Need a customer service agent.

I suppose I will. There is definitely supposed to be a way to involve Ebay though and this is not reassuring. I get he listed “no returns” but that shouldn’t negate my ability to open a claim. Yet it has.

Seller rating plummeted and others are having the same issue with him now.

Re: Need a customer service agent.

Apparently eBay "was" and/or at least the eBay Bots" were" involved IF the Return request closed that quickly. ...and IF eBay has chosen to not be involved further, it is your right to take the necessary steps through your payment processor to resolve the situation. Best wishes and good luck . Hope you are able to get this resolved without further issue.

Re: Need a customer service agent.

When was the ebay dispute time period for your order?

As I understand it, if you try to open too early or too late it will automatically close.

EBay's guarantee help file:

https://www.ebay.ca/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy?...

As other say, no return does not mean no refund allowed.

You should be able to file a return for an INAD (item not as described). It doesn't matter if they have a no returns policy if they don't send you what they were supposed to.

If that isn't working, you can contact eBay through Twitter / Facebook and get an actual human.

Re: Need a customer service agent.

No Returns does not mean No Refunds.

When the item arrives, open a Claim for Not As Described.

The seller will be forced to send you return shipping or abandon the shipment.

EBay will refund you if the seller does not do this voluntarily.

HAS THE ITEM ARRIVED?

You can't open a Claim until it does.

You really don't want to talk to a phone rep.

The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options.
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

But if the item has arrived and you are getting nowhere with Customer Service, open a chargeback with the credit card you really paid with.

And hope it was a credit card and not a debit card or e-transfer. There is no way to get money back on those.

Re: Need a customer service agent.

I would like to thank everyone who attempted to help me here. I reached an agent through Facebook. Because of Ebay’s policies they cannot help me. I have to proceed with my bank.

As a disclaimer for anyone buying trading cards via Ebay, do not buy them as a gift to be gifted/opened a future date. Bought cards for my wife, gifted them past ebay’s 3-day limit and we opened them to find them resealed and stolen from. But past 3 days ebay will automatically deny the return.

Do not buy sealed trading cards ahead of time.

Re: Need a customer service agent.

gifted them past ebay’s 3-day limit

That is information that should have been disclosed in your original post.

If you try to open a Claim past the 30 days from delivery, you will be refused.
Period.

 past ebay’s 3-day limit

There's a different limit for trading cards?

Re: Need a customer service agent.

I thought it was 30.

Apparently it is 3 on cards.

Had I any idea of this, it would have been in my initial post. Had Ebay replied, or the errors it gave me specified, a lot of time could have been saved.

Re: Need a customer service agent.

Yes it is 3 days...but... supposedly thereafter eBay can step in IF there is no resolution between buyer and seller, so we do not know what happened/what went wrong in the thereafter...
