Not being able to change Store web address

Why can't we change our ebay store web address despite being able to change the store's name?

That is correct. The URL can no longer be changed, apparantly years ago it could but it is no longer possible.
The name can be changed but the web address stays the same.

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense that it works that way but I know that US sellers have complained about it too.  
I will post on the tech board there and see if anyone know if there is a way of doing it.
