eBay Calculated Shipping Tool

As mentioned in the past (at nauseum) eBay's calculated STILL has had a long running issue with  certain(narrower items) when the minimum measurements used(by seller) is in conflict with eBay's Postage Calculator.

Test Item:  Millen M10-0105 NIB 

Current measurements used: 50 cm x 14 cm x 12 cm  900 grams

Services attached to the listing for shipping to the USA are Small Packet Air, Tracked, Expedited, Xpresspost

Testing with the Canadapost calculator to USA allows Small Packet Air, Tracked, Expedited, Xpresspost with both under 14 cms (middle measurement) and over 14 cms. (Tested up to 20 cms width and all options still worked. Your test may item may vary)

If the middle measurement of 14 cm or more is used eBay Calculator removes USA Tracked for test options.

If the middle measurement of less than 14 cm is used the eBay Calculator removes Tracked

From test observations all shipping options display properly(4 options) when item sells and you attempt to create a shipping label with eBay Labels, Shippo or Snapship.

eBay's shipping calculator should never filter out options that are provided by the seller. As also noted previously when attempting to create a listing the ONLY time you will ever get an error message is if you use a dimension that is GREATER than those permitted by CP. How it should work. Not under.

Not sure how many other sellers are aware of this issue but imagine it could be extremely substantial. The only way a seller will know is if they test the listing AFTER creating. I routinely confirm my originally entered measurements(longer items) when using Sell Similar to refresh a listing and fix as required. Sellers when creating listings use ACTUAL measurements vs inflated measurements so buyers should see the correct amount when checking for available options so they can use the option that works best for them. Currently this is NOT possible.

eBay> PLEASE FIX!!!! It has been passed on previously(multiple times) to the tech team and CS. These tools need to work properly.
