Additional Notes From Today's Webinar (Dec 18)

Here's some additional notes I made from today's webinar (that I don't think were noted previously)

  • eIS is not currently available for authenticated items (sneakers / cards) but they're hoping to add that ability soon.
  • Do NOT include bonus items (gifts, etc) along with an item when sending things internationally. It can cause a headache for the buyer.
  • To automatically combine shipping using eIS (where possible), all items need to be added to the cart before checking out. This should also work for the international portion of the trip if using rate tables, but it may not work for the domestic portion which depends on your own policies.
  • If an auction item exceeds the $2000 / $2500 threshold for eIS and you do not have your own shipping set up, the international bidders should become automatically unable to bid any further.
  • They're working on a filter in seller hub to show Country Of Origin.
  • For items that are made with parts from different countries, the seller should probably pick the COO that has the greatest value or is specifically listed as the country of manufacture.
  • Variance in size and weight of an item will apparently be covered for both the buyer and seller. (I'm also a little unsure on that one, but that's what I think they said)
  • Expedited Lite should now be active for under 250g (I checked after the webinar and it did indeed give me an expedited lite quote at 249g).
  • No current plan to reenable Canada Post Tracked Packet USA in eBay Labels. There was no mention this time about future Zonos integration either, so something may have changed there.
  • There's going to be additional, more specialized shipping related webinars in the new year.

Etsy has Zonos integration? Since when? I know Shopify does.
