the entire thing is just nuts.....it will kill ebay for Canadians. I just gave up and will sell somewhere else. eBay takes too much lately anyway. I feel for all the new sellers as I have been on here over 20 years with multiple ID's. It was at one time a great place to sell......now it is just a money grab and killing small sellers already tiny profit margins.

This isn't about eBay, this is about Trump Tariffs that affect sellers on any selling site...so unless you are selling locally, there is no escaping prepaying the tarffs when shipping to the USA...

Seems as though coins and stamps are not on the list to be exempt from tariffs.
How about everyone else with Canada made goods?
I just found this FAQ from US Customs Border Protection (CBP) which was linked in another thread.
https://www.cbp.gov/trade/basic-import-export/e-commerce/faqs
How do I claim USMCA preference on goods that previously qualified for de minimis?

Even in October when eBay brings in the international shipping program for Canada I do not think Canadians are going to get US sales. It is just going to be too costly on top of the sale price. I am not sure my business can survive with Canada only sales. I ended all my US listings & deleted US shipping on my Canadian ones last week. Not a lot of views since & no sales. I sure wish Trump had put in a $100 or $200 limit instead of going from $800 to zero. Would have helped. Wondering how the Americans are feeling about this?
A lot of countries not shipping to US at the moment.

Situation just so confusing...

I tried an experiment in the Zonos app:
I gave the item as 'postage stamps', the country of origin as 'Canada', and the value as $10.00. Zonos correctly classified it as 4907.00.0000. Not only did Zonos calculate the tariff as $0.00, there was no fee!

Thanks for the info, just checked it out.If postcards and stamps are with tariffs and taxes, than it's good news (at least for me).We have to wait and see how it works and what additional fees will be ( or will not) involved/

If it will effect Americans we won't see it for quite a while. And US based sellers must be over the moon, look how much competition has been eliminated. I agree Canadian sellers are being a bit over optimistic how this will work out.

I sell used auto parts for the last 20 years some made in canada some in US but also Korea , Japan , germany and who knows where else , the 800 dollar duty free ending today in the US they will not want to pay a tariff on an item from me they can get in the US likely from another seller, Think I will just pack it in , all this **bleep** is not worth the aggrivation

From recent posts many Canadian sellers are doing what they need to to be compliant. It will be interesting to see (when it comes to the concept reciprocal tariffs)with items that qualified for Cusma, does EIS do the ALL required paperwork for shipments coming to Canada? Will they do the same when there is a similar system in place for Canadian orders going to the USA? As a buyer, either way one would hope everything is done to make sure there are as few extra costs involved especially if charges shouldn't be applicable. Or will it be a case of ohhh whatever??
